At graft, our coaches see potential in everyone
Carly is the co-founder and head coach at GRAFT and the heartbeat of our community. With a background in Sports Therapy, CrossFit and 1-1 coaching, she’s spent years helping people build confidence through movement. She’s not just a coach; she’s a competitor too. As a Hyrox Pro athlete, Carly has earned her spot at four consecutive World Championships. But perhaps her proudest title is being “Mum” to two young boys, which gives her a real-world understanding of the juggle so many clients face.
Her mission? To make fitness something that fits into your life, lifts you up, and helps you become the strongest version of yourself.
David is GRAFT’s second-in-command in coaching, bringing expertise, experience, and relentless energy to every session. A Level 3 Personal Trainer, qualified in Sports Rehabilitation and Nutrition, and a certified HYROX coach, David also excels as a top-level HYROX athlete.
His coaching style is friendly, informative, and full of drive. When you train with David, you feel his determination for your success. He pushes you beyond what you think is possible, all while keeping a smile on your face.
Calum, better known as Grover, brings first-hand experience from competing in HYROX and a range of other sports. Now at the beginning of his coaching journey with GRAFT, he combines his competitive background with a genuine passion for helping others progress.
Originally from the Scottish Highlands, Calum grew up playing shinty, developing a strong love for sport, training and teamwork from an early age. A move to Edinburgh marked a new chapter, one he embraced fully, continuing to push himself both personally and professionally.
With a long-standing ambition to coach, Calum takes real pride in being part of GRAFT and the positive impact it has on its community. Calum is always on the go, always active, and always striving to be the best version of himself.
Will is co-founder of GRAFT and a qualified HYROX and Strength & Conditioning coach.
With a sporting background in rugby and over a decade of structured training, his coaching is shaped by discipline, performance, and long-term progression. After building his career in the corporate world, he transitioned into coaching with a clear belief: fitness should strengthen how people live, work, and lead.
Will has competed in HYROX across the UK, Europe and the US, as well as The Hybrid Games in Glasgow. He brings first-hand experience of hybrid racing and performance training into his coaching.
His approach is simple and direct: master the basics, stay consistent, and improve over time. He cares deeply about helping people build confidence, energy and self-belief through sustained effort.
At GRAFT, Will is driven by building a community where hard work is valued, progress is visible, and people feel better about themselves because of the standards they hold.
He currently coaches on Fridays and weekends and leads on operations and community development.
